All of its divisions hold leading market positions. In 2013, the company’s 53,509 employees generated revenue of €15.8 billion and operating profit of €319 million.

Corporate Responsibility

Corporate responsibility is part of the corporate and leadership culture at MAN. The company is committed to sustainable value creation, which means combining long-term commercial success with a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment and all of MAN’s stakeholders – whether they be employees, customers, investors or society at large. A central element of the company’s strategic direction is the CR strategy signed off on by the Executive Board of MAN in 2010. This takes an integrated approach and is applied to all relevant business processes and management systems.

Responsibility in Practice

Climate change is one of the most important global challenges faced by governments, businesses and society – and thus by MAN as well. As part of MAN’s Climate Strategy, which was formulated in 2011 and applies Group-wide, the company has set itself concrete goals and is making a valuable contribution to cutting CO2 emissions. By 2020 MAN is aiming to reduce CO2 emissions at its more than 30 production sites by 25 % (baseline 2008).
